Our Commitment

Becoming a Purple Star School represents more than just an achievement—it is a meaningful pledge to support and honor the unique needs of military-connected students and their families. At Pathways in Education, we understand the sacrifices and challenges faced by military families, from frequent relocations to adapting to new communities and schools. As a Purple Star School, we are dedicated to ensuring every student feels welcomed, valued, and provided with the resources necessary to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

We believe this recognition is important because it highlights our unwavering support for those who serve our country. It allows us to build a nurturing environment where military students can find stability and a sense of belonging, regardless of the circumstances they face. By prioritizing the well-being of military-connected families, we strengthen our school community with the values of empathy, resilience, and inclusivity.

To uphold our designation and strive for excellence, we will continue to foster strong partnerships with local military organizations and provide our staff with specialized training to address the unique challenges military families encounter. We are committed to hosting events like Purple Up Day to celebrate and honor the contributions of military students, and to cultivating peer mentorship programs that promote student connections and camaraderie.

At Pathways in Education, our promise as a Purple Star School is simple yet impactful: to stand with our military families and help their students build a strong foundation for success. Together, we will create an environment where every military child can flourish.

Peer2Peer Mentorship
Pathways in Education–Arizona proudly offers a Peer2Peer Mentoring Program that supports and uplifts all students by fostering connection, belonging, and shared growth. Students who would like to be paired with a mentor—or who are interested in volunteering to mentor a fellow student—are encouraged to contact Amber Torres at ambertorres@pathwaysedu.org.

For any questions about the Peer2Peer Program, please reach out to Mrs. Amber Torres.
