About Us
Pathways In Education is a small non-profit charter school in Phoenix dedicated to serving the local community and supporting at-risk and underserved students. We began our story in 2002, leading students on communication and leadership focused camps in the California wilderness. In 2006, we opened our first school in Chicago and in 2010 we bought our first property dedicated to learning outside the classroom. Today we have ten schools in five states, a 240 acre organic farm in Northern California, and a dude-ranch in the Colorado Rockies. We opened our first location in Phoenix in August 2016. Thanks to the support of students, parents, staff, and countless community partners, we know our story has only just begun.

Our Mission
The mission of Pathways In Education - Arizona is to equip our students with the academic and personal skills necessary to graduate with a high school diploma prepared for postsecondary education in a 21st century workforce. We accomplish our mission by providing a safe, nurturing, and equitable environment for our students and by offering individualized instruction, 1:1 support, blended learning, flexible scheduling, dual enrollment, experiential learning, postsecondary counseling, and multiple curriculum modalities aligned to Arizona State Standards. Our school is designed to serve an alternative population including students who are considered at-risk youth, disconnected or truant, academically behind their peers, pregnant or parenting, full-time workers, foster or homeless youth, or dealing with behavioral challenges, mental health issues, or bullying. We serve students who were not successful in a traditional school setting and who need an alternative approach to achieve their goals and dreams.
