My experience at Pathways in Education has been a journey of growth, learning, and overcoming challenges. I joined Pathways with my sister, Maliah, and together, we navigated our senior year, supporting each other along the way.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my time at Pathways was my involvement as a student leader in both the Art Club and Dance Club. I didn’t just participate; I took on leadership roles because I genuinely wanted to make a difference. I wanted to uplift those around me and be there for my peers. My teacher, Ms. Crystal, played a huge role in my journey. She always encouraged me and reminded me of my potential, even when I doubted myself.
Math was a particularly tough subject for me. There were so many times I struggled and felt like giving up, but Ms. Crystal never gave up on me. She was always there to help me when I needed it, offering not just academic support, but the motivation to keep going. With her guidance, I was able to finish my math classes, and that’s something I’m really proud of.

Sharing this experience with my sister made it even more special. We had the chance to go on amazing trips to Washington D.C. and New York, and we also volunteered together. These moments brought us closer and made our time at Pathways even more memorable. I’ll never forget standing on that stage during our graduation, knowing we had both accomplished something significant together.
As I look ahead, I feel confident and excited about the future. I’ve been accepted to Gateway Community College, where I’ll be pursuing my passion for cosmetology. Pathways has taught me that we all matter and that with hard work, we can achieve our goals. My hope for everyone is that they find their passion and chase after it, just like I’m doing.
Pathways in Education has been more than just a school for me—it’s been a community that believed in me, supported me, and helped me grow. I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned and for the people who have been part of my journey.
